He Knows

Psalm 107:6“Then (after wandering in the wilderness) they cried out to the LORD IN their trouble; He delivered them out of their distresses.”

As I read, prayed, and meditated on the Word of God today, a Wow moment occurred.  Sometimes, you see something that you know, but its reinforcement reverberates so powerfully that you pause in awe.   As I read and pondered, my heart cried out – “He Knows!”   God is never unaware!

Psalm 107:6 – “Then (after wandering in the wilderness) they cried out to the LORD IN their trouble; He delivered them out of their distresses.”

Distress = narrowness, a tight place, trouble.  It is repeated in verse 13 and in verse 20 we read, “He sent His Word and healed them, AND delivered them from their destructions.

Psalm 112 is amazing.   Here, we discover God’s promises to the faithful, those who fear and serve God, those who delight in Him.  Those in whom He is their ALL. Look at the promises.

  • Descendants will be mighty. (v 2).
  • Prosperous. (v 3).
  • Preservation in integrity. (v 3).
  • Filled with revelatory knowledge. (v 4).
  • Never shaken. (v 6).
  • No fear. (v 7).

A very intriguing statement appears in Psalm 115:11: “You who fear the LORD, trust in the LORD.”  Fearing God is not the same as trusting Him.  You can fear and not trust, but you cannot trust without fearing Him.  Trust produces a reverential awe that draws!

In 2 Timothy 2:11-13, we have a revelation of Life!  This is the picture of Christianity in action.  We are dead, but alive.  We endure so that we may reign.  The reality is that this can be lost or forfeited, which is terrifying.  If we deny Him, He will (not maybe) deny us.  Even if we turn back, He remains constant in love.

In 2 Timothy 3:16-17, we discover the incredibleness of God. He foreknew our need and gave us the Scripture (God-breathed Word) to teach us, reprove us, correct us, and train us in righteousness. So that we will be adequate and equipped for every good work.  That we can steward the truth and manifest and represent Him in this world.

God knows Everything, and even before we encounter the need, He has prepared the answer.   Look up and rejoice!
