GOOD MORNING LORD! I WAIT IN EXPECTATION!

Psalms 5:3 “In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.” NIV

What better way to begin the day than for the Lord to hear your voice and you hear His? As the Psalmist said that the Lord would hear his voice in the morning. He would lay his requests before the Lord and wait in EXPECTATION! That comes from a heart that has a relationship with God and expresses faith! It should be a picture of us daily.

Don’t assume that I mean that everybody has to get up early and pray! No that would be legalistic. I mean that we should all have such a relationship with God that we lift our voices to Him, lay our requests before Him, and then expectantly wait for His response, reply and provision. We should be so in Love with Him that communication and communion are something that we want to do daily and in fact all through the day. We should have such expectation of Him that we know that when we present our petitions before Him that He will respond to them. One of my favorite passages is:

1 John 5:14-15 – ” This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.” NASB

If my relationship with Him is such that I know His will, especially through His word and I petition Him, I know that I know that I know, He Hears me and if He Hears me in whatever I ask I also know that my Petition will be granted!  So first I seek His face and His will, then I take the matter to Him in the form of a prayer and I WAIT EXPECTANTLY for His response!

It all goes back to making Him first and foremost in our lives. It means He is the captain of our ship. He is the author and finisher of our faith. He is the guide of our lives. He is LORD!  I lift up my voice in adoration and praise with thanksgiving and deep appreciation of all that He has done and in anticipation of what He is going to do.

My day is incomplete if it does not begin with Him! When it begins with Him, it continues with Him, and at the conclusion of the day, it’s still, Him. Thank you, Lord, for your Great Love and Unfathomable Grace & Mercy! Guard over and guide all my friends today as we go through the day. Help us in each decision, action, and reaction! Make this day a day of rejoicing in you!

Blessings to all as I head out into my day expecting the guidance of the Holy Spirit as I present the things I must present and do the things I must do!
