Throne Room Thinking

1 Corinthians 8 & 9 – – Study those two chapters; they are incredible.

A threefold cord is not easily broken.    In 1 Corinthians, the apostle Paul, by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, took them from fleshly thinking and living to the throne room and spiritual maturity.

  • In 1 Corinthians 8, he addressed the carnal mind and faux knowledge.
  • In 1 Corinthians 9, he addressed the reality that just running the race was not the objective, but reaching the ultimate goal was. In
  • 1 Corinthians 10, he addressed the need to make everything we do glorify God.
  • In 1 Corinthians 11, he revealed the mystery of the Church as One Body, Christ’s body. Improper relationships and failure to understand the unity and necessity of the body opened the door for the enemy to steal health and life.

Then, in 1 Corinthians 12, Spiritual gifts are addressed, as are other ministries.   He revealed the reason for the gifts and from whom they are derived.  In verse 14, we discover that – “The body is not one member, but many.”  Every member is as vital as any other. There is an order of function but no hierarchy.

In 1 Corinthians 13, we see how it all functions—AGAPE!  Then, in verse 12, he packaged the message and unveiled how we reach that goal: “FOR NOW we see through a mirror, darkly; BUT THEN face to face. NOW I know in part; BUT THEN shall I know EVEN AS I am known.” [Emphasis mine]

In the flesh, hindered by the carnal mind and fleshly desires, we do not see the unclouded image of Christ.   We see Him, but we also see the world and feel its tug at our hearts.  The nearer we draw to Him Who is Light, the more the darkness is driven away, and the more clearly we see who we are, who He is, and who we can and should be.

The Bible tells us that we know as we are known.   Known by whom?  Jesus!  What does He say about us?  We will finally see that, and as we see, we become!

THE KEY:   Seek God above everything and press into His presence.  Be like the Olympic athlete and have a singular but determined focus.   It is yours; be who you are in God’s eyes.  Be Victorious, mountain movers, conquerors, and manifestations of Jesus.   Thy kingdom come, and Thy will be done ON EARTH in us, just like it is in heaven.

Declare it, believe it, and receive it!  Have a fantastic day walking in His Victory and Peace!

Who Are You?

The Bible – That is our Text Today.

Who am I?  Who are you?  The answer to that is found in the Book of Books, the Word of God, the Bible.   In that book, we discover the pathway to peace and wholeness.

Through Jesus’s sacrificial blood in the atonement, we discover how to be Born Again and become members of the Body of Christ.   We discover how to live and realize the help that God has provided for us to make this journey into eternity.   What a Book!

As believers, we are now alive forever!   That’s right, this body of flesh will die, but our spirits will live forever with Jesus in heaven if we are born again!   Jesus is the Way, the only Way to the Father.   Jesus is the Truth, and out of that Truth, we find Life!

We must never forget that the Life He gives is abundant, not in material possessions but in peace with God and innumerable treasures that positively impact our lives and relationships.

Today, I encourage you to check the Book and see what God says about you and what He has provided for you!   As you see the Finished Work of the Cross and realize what Jesus did for us, you will be changed.   As you realize whose you are and who you are in Him, you will no longer tolerate defeat; you will live in expectation!

One day soon, our LORD is going to fulfill His promise to come back for us and take us to our forever home – Heaven!

I believe that day will be soon, and all the signs indicate we are truly living in what the Bible calls, ‘The Last Days.’   Even though the world is growing darker morally and spiritually, the Light of God shines brightly and is radiant in those who believe! Rejoice; you are not alone! Rejoice; you have Hope! Rejoice; you have God’s person, peace, and power to guard and guide you!

Make today a day of victorious expectation! Align your heart with God’s word, and let hope, excitement, anticipation, and expectation rise up inside of you! Victory is yours!

God bless you; have a day in Jesus!

Gifts From God

1 Corinthians 4:7 – “For what makes a distinction between you and someone else? And what do you have that grace has not given you? And if you received it as a gift, why do you boast as though there is something special about you?”

Good morning.   I am praying that God’s best will be yours and that wisdom, discernment, and revelation will manifest.  Look beneath the surface.  The surface is superficial.

Many things filled my heart as I prayed, read, and pondered.   Most were directed to me, and I must address them privately.    However, there are a couple of things that are worthy of consideration.

All the ability we have is not the product of our own efforts.   They are gifts from God.  (1 Corinthians 4:7) Like athletes, we have to hone and sharpen them in, but they did originate in us.  They belong to God.  God will not bless self-proclaimed success or ability, only humility and submission.

Second, not what we know but who we know and belong to manifests the Kingdom.

1 Corinthians 4:20 – “For the Kingdom of God IS NOT in the word, but in power.”

If there is no manifested power of God accompanying the declaration, it is rain on a tin roof.   It is fluff.   God confirms His Word with signs following.   That’s what the scripture declares, and I will stand with the scripture.

The church and the world need less oratory and more manifested power of God.  The Acts Church did not turn the world upside down with their eloquence but with the power of God.

The call of God for today and beyond is Power in the Spirit.   Every time I talk to God about power, He talks to me about purity.  My failures cannot be accepted or justified.   I am in repentance, and my heart cries for mercy, restoration, and power.   I know my call, my commission, and my purpose.  My cry is, Lord, create in me a clean heart, a right spirit, and make me an ambassador of heaven in this world.

All things are yours in Jesus. Never settle for second best; seek God’s best. He has given it to you; receive it.

Have a great day, and make the choice to rejoice, receive the fullness of the Spirit, and expect God to be God in your daily life and manifest His love, mercy, grace, and power!

Why, Lord, Why?

Romans 12:21 – “Be not (that means don’t) overcome (defeated, distracted, discouraged) by evil, but (so instead do this) overcome evil with good.

Good morning.   I am praying for each of you that your day will overflow with divine wisdom and that divine encounters will lead you to new victories today and beyond.

As I read, prayed, pondered, and contemplated the Word, a question I have encountered many times resurfaced.  That question, “Why do good people suffer?”  As I prayed and mused on that, I thought, that’s the wrong question.   I believe that that question accuses God.  The better question is, why don’t more good people endure trials?

Jesus and the apostles taught that God’s people are targets of the enemy and will encounter difficulties.

Romans 12:21 – “Be not (that means don’t) overcome (defeated, distracted, discouraged) by evil, but (so instead do this) overcome evil with good.”

Romans 14:7-8 – “For none of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself.  8 For whether we live, we live to our Lord; and whether we die we die to our Lord; whether we live therefore, or die, we belong to our Lord.”

We must remind ourselves that troubles are not evidence of God’s disfavor.   They should be examined to determine our heart’s condition and then used to testify of God’s goodness, grace, and love. Remember what James said—trials increase patience, and patience produces spiritual maturity. In that condition and position, we live without lack because we Trust God and know that He never fails.

Jesus is the one who has crushed the devil, but now He wants to make Romans 16:20 a present reality in your life.  “The God of peace WILL soon crush satan under your feet.”   You have power and authority over the devil; use it.  Like Job, Paul, and the great cloud of witnesses demonstrate that you do not allow trouble and trial to hinder you.  You are Victorious.  Live like it!  Talk like it!  Believe like it!

Be Who He Says You Are!

Persistent Obedience – Prevailing Love

Ruth 1:16-18 – “And Ruth said to her, Far be it from me to return from following after you, and to leave you; for where you go, I will go; and where you dwell, I will dwell; your people shall be my people, and your God my God:17 Where you die, I will die, and there will I be buried; may the LORD do so to me, and more also, if even death can separate me from you.18 When Naomi saw that she was determined to go with her, then she ceased from urging her to go back.”

As I read, prayed, pondered, and considered the Word, the thought of persistent obedience and prevailing love filled my consciousness.

In Judges, the story of Samson is filled with inspiration and warning. Samson was chosen for greatness from birth. He looked like everyone else, but there was a flow of supernatural strength inside. If he had been a Mr. Atlas, nobody would have wondered where his strength came from. He drank water from the rock at Lehi after killing 1,000 men with the jawbone of a donkey. Water is life, and the rock is Christ, so symbolically, he drank living water from Christ.

He lived as near the border between sin and righteousness as he could. With each tryst with Delilah, he moved nearer his downfall. Never dabble in the waters of sin!

Ruth exhibited persistent love and obedience in following Naomi.

Paul addressed the Thessalonians in 2 Thessalonians 1:3b, focusing on their unselfish love for each other. He said that it was visibly increasing and overflowing. In v.4, he spoke of their unflinching endurance. Those speak of persistent love and obedience—all marks of Christianity—all visible, tangible testimonies to the world of God’s grace at work.

In 2 Thessalonians 3:13, he makes a beautiful statement that is usually not quoted in context. “Brothers and sisters, don’t ever grow weary in doing what is right.”

In the previous verse, he addressed laziness and idleness and gave a clear directive. Some wouldn’t work. He said they were not busy but busybodies! In v.11, his instruction was, “Don’t help them be lazy; no work, no food!”

He used verse 13 in that context. It is a double truth. Serving and having a charitable heart are always the objectives. Administering discipline, true redemptive discipline is also vital.

We reap what is sown.

  • If we sow gracious, persistent obedience and love, we will reap that.
  • If we sow proper discipline, we will reap order.
  • If we neglect discipline, we will experience disorder and disarray.

The objective is always restoration!  Doing what is right is not always easy, but it is always right.  It has reward!

Today, my cry is, Lord, help me; help us to live lives of persistent, obedient love! Love draws love like a magnet. Hate draws hate like a flame attracts moths. The harvest is based on sowing. Lord, help us sow the harvest we need!

May the grace, peace, power, and love of God flow to you and through you today!
