SHOW ME YOUR GLORY…

Exodus 33:18-23  Then Moses said, “I pray You, show me Your glory!” 19 And He said, “I Myself will make all My goodness pass before you, and will proclaim the name of the Lord before you; and I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show compassion on whom I will show compassion.” 20 But He said, “You cannot see My face, for no man can see Me and live!” 21 Then the Lord said, “Behold, there is a place [I]by Me, and you shall stand there on the rock; 22 and it will come about, while My glory is passing by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock and cover you with My hand until I have passed by. 23 Then I will take My hand away and you shall see My back, but My face shall not be seen.”

As I read, prayed, and pondered, I read from the Lamsa Aramaic to English translation, and some things opened to me in a way I had not considered before. Moses made a request to God, and the answer placed a greater responsibility on Moses.  Moses asked, “Show me thy glory.” That is a benign request, right?  Hardly!  God responded, “I will make my goodness pass before you. ” I thought he asked to see God’s Glory.  God’s glory is embodied in His goodness. It is Who He Is!

But that request elevated Moses to a new level of accountability! He became accountable and responsible for what he saw. When we ask for more revelation and a greater measure of God’s presence, we commit to more responsibility and accountability.

Jude reminds or reveals to us that when we are called, we can be assured that we are loved and protected. (Jude 1). The rendering of Jude 20 is interesting.  “But you, my beloved, build up yourselves…” we need to stop praying for God to do what we are directed and enabled to do. He continues, “anew in the Holy faith…” we are to study and learn to handle the word rightly. Then he concludes, “Through the Holy Spirit, by means of prayer.” That is the total surrender to God and the transformation by the Holy Spirit, our teacher.

Read it again without my commentary – “But you beloved, build up yourselves anew in the holy faith through the Holy Spirit, by means of prayer.” Let that sink deeply into your heart!

Jesus’ message to the church at Thyatira is an incredibly interesting statement. Revelation 2:27 states, “…even as MY Father disciplined me.” Think about that! If the one who knew no disobedience was disciplined, how much more will we be disciplined?   God desires to give us the kingdom and transform us into little Christs on the earth.

If we look at the message to each of the seven churches, we see in each a dimension of the Christ Life we are to live. It reveals areas of needed correction, invitations to elevation and power, and the opportunity to see His Glory.  He invites us to be who we are in Him.  He wants us to prosper and know divine health through prosperous souls.

Revelation 3:20 is our hope.  He is waiting for us to open the door to Him in yielded surrender, and “then” He will demonstrate His person and power. We are those whom He chastises and disciplines to enable us to become containers of the supernatural manifestation of God.

How much do we want?  He wants us to have The Kingdom.   Power and Authority over ALL the devil’s work and power.  Therefore, we are to have no more lack.  It is time to take it back!

May God’s best and fullness flood your entire being today!

THE SEVEN SPIRITS OF GOD…

Revelation 5:6 – And I saw between the throne (with the four living creatures) and the elders a Lamb standing, as if slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, sent out into all the earth.”

What I want to share is not some new prophetic insight but something that has enabled me to embrace God’s fullness and perfection even more.

In Revelation 5 and many times in Revelation, the term “Seven Spirits of God” is used.   What are the Seven Spirits of God?  Is the Holy Spirit Seven separate beings?  No!  Then what could that mean, or what could the phraseology’s purpose be?

I offer this:  Seven is the number of completion or perfection.   The judgments are in sevens – completion.  Seven days of creation, with the 7th being the symbol of completion. But what are the Seven Spirits of God?

  • The Spirit of Wisdom.
  • The Spirit of Understanding.
  • The Spirit of Counsel.
  • The Spirit of Power.
  • The Spirit of Knowledge.
  • The Spirit of Reverence (Fear of God).
  • The Spirit of Prophecy.

Revelation 5:12 says of Jesus that He is Worthy to receive Power, Riches, Wisdom, Might, Honor, Glory, and Blessing (sevenfold).

We are IN Christ, and He is IN us. His Holy Spirit empowers us with all His attributes.   We are heirs of God and joint heirs with Jesus.  We have His authority, and in that, we have all His attributes to fulfill His purposes and our calling.

James said that if we need Wisdom, Ask!  Therefore, if we have access to ALL of Jesus and ALL the Holy Spirit, why do we not live like that is true?

I stand in faith and declare, “As He is, so am I in this present world.”  Declare that, believe that, and live like God is telling the truth! He has given us the Kingdom, so we need to stop living like beggars and start living like heirs.

Are we going to ride like princes and princesses or like beggars?  The choice is ours based on God’s promises.

What do you need?  He IS.  So, Why Not Now?

May the Love, Peace, Power, and Provision of God be your constant guide!

LET GOD BE GOD…

Ephesians 1:3-6 – Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.

Many in the Body of Christ argue and fight over terms such as predestination and foreknowledge.   I think we need to rethink and redefine those realities.

God is infinite, including with regard to time.  He has been in the past, the present, and the future.  He knew us before the foundations of the world.  He can tell us precisely what happens in the future because He has been there and is there.

He knows the choices we will make before we make them.  Thus, He can plan our future, including our salvation, because He knows what we will choose and do.  His foreknowledge in no way diminishes our ability to choose.

He chooses us based on His infinite foreknowledge of how we will respond and choose.  He does not arbitrarily choose some and reject others.   He chooses and rejects based on His foreknowledge of what we will choose.  God knows our future, and we know God.  Therefore, we need to focus on Him rather than fretting over the what-ifs.

I trust Him to keep what I have committed to Him and guide me into making the right choices; if I believe that God arbitrarily decides my eternity with no involvement from me, I develop a view of God as a puppet master, even a tyrant.  Imagine someone with that power operating arbitrarily.   That is beyond frightening.

Ephesians 1:3 tells us that God has blessed (Has Blessed) us with ALL spiritual blessings in the heavenly places in Jesus. God’s love is unconditional, but that does not mean He ignores disobedience. God has prepared a plan for us based on His foreknowledge of what choices we will make. He is never surprised by our choices. Additionally, He wants us to know what He desires.  But He will not make the choice for us.  He gives us options, even though there is only one acceptable option.

We are predestined to be transformed into the image of Jesus.  His predetermined plan is based on His seeing our decisions.   He helps us make the right and difficult choices, yet the choice is ours.   We would not have been given a will if He had desired robots.

The fact that He has given us the ability to choose reveals His desire for us to mature.  We do not want to make every decision, in detail, for our children or anyone.   We want them to mature, apply their knowledge, and make the right choices.

I heard – “Do you trust Me?  Do you believe what I have said?  Then, quit asking Me to do for you what I equipped and authorized you to do.  You have authority over the devil and your will. Exercise it.” I received the chastisement and am at peace with my purpose. My destiny results from the right choices I have made, am making, and will make through His Spirit.

I have a will that I have willed to surrender to His will.   I am, therefore, free!

May God bless, guard, keep, and guide you each step of your spiritual journey!

THE FULL ANOINTING OF GOD…

Leviticus 14:14-18 “The priest shall then take some of the blood of the guilt offering, and the priest shall put it on the lobe of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot. 15 The priest shall also take some of thelog of oil and pour it into his left palm; 16 the priest shall then dip his right-hand finger into the oil that is in his left palm, and with his finger sprinkle some of the oil seven times before the Lord. 17 Of the remaining oil which is in his palm, the priest shall put some on the right ear lobe of the one to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot, on the blood of the guilt offering; 18 while the rest of the oil that is in the priest’s palm, he shall put on the head of the one to be cleansed. So, the priest shall make atonement on his behalf before the Lord.”  NASB

This passage offers a detailed process for those cleansed of leprosy.   I see it relatable to believers because we have been cleansed from the leprosy of sin.   It is a type to give insight.

The blood of the sacrifice was placed on the tip of the right ear, the thumb of the right hand, and the big toe of the right foot.  The blood covered and cleansed the hearing (faith comes by hearing), the works (the works of our hands), and the walk (how we live).  The blood cleanses and sets apart as clean.

Then, the oil was applied in the same manner.  The oil represents the Holy Spirit and His anointing or empowering.  But the oil was applied in an overflow and poured, not put on the head.

The Blood of Jesus cleanses, and the oil equips, empowers, and enlightens.

Why do we fail to walk in the anointing?  Some have not received an infilling of the Holy Spirit, only His presence in salvation.   But even those who are Filled fail to utilize His anointing, power, enlightenment, and equipping.   Why?  There are many reasons, but one is we tend to revert to dessert (not the sweet stuff after the meal but a sense of being worthy or deserving).  We agree with the devil by denying the power in us and fail to see it manifest in us.

We deserve judgment, so none of us are worthy.  His anointing and cleansing are not based on desert but grace.

We have been cleansed and anointed. Therefore, we have both the purity and power to exercise God’s commission.   The devil has no power over those who know he has no power- those covered with the Blood of Jesus and anointed with and by the Holy Spirit.

That charge of your circumstances and exercise authority over people (in the Spirit) operating under the devil’s influence.   Speak the word, believe the word, expect the word, and watch the word work.

You have the blood and the oil.  You do not have to wait for rescue; declare God’s purpose; it is your inheritance.

May the Lord enable you to walk in the fullness of God’s anointing and provision for your life now!

COMMUNICATION and TRUST…

Genesis 11:1 – “Now the whole earth used the same language and the same words.”  NASB

Something is moving in the heavenly realm that is going to be mind-boggling.   Fasten your seat belt; it will be fast and furious.   Only the observant will see its beginning, but all we feel the effects of it.

In my daily reading of God’s word and pondering over what I read, the Tower of Babel arose in my thoughts.

Communication – Common Language.  We are told in scripture to all speak the same things.  We do not!  We have schisms and schisms and are a divided house in Christianity.  We accept that, but it is not God’s plan.  We do not communicate. We tend to excommunicate and ostracize with exclusionism.

We assume to know the Truth and claim that our version is the absolute truth.  We assume and assumption truth is ALWAYS dangerous.   Our assumptions are only as good as the factual data we have and include in our assumptions.

Mankind is the cumulative product of successive generations.   Intellectual development is exponential, not linear.  Each discovery is based and built on a precious discovery.   Technology is advancing more rapidly than we can adapt.  That makes Artificial Intelligence super dangerous.  We can reach a place where the creature can outgrow the creator.  Not with God but with man technologically.

It is believed that knowledge and technology are developing at a 10:1 ratio. One futurist argues it is 20,000:1, which is astounding.  The more mankind discovers and the power that it produces, the more it causes him to want more.

In 1776, the fastest communication was the light of a lantern. Today, at the speed of light, we transmit trillions of bits of information at a time every second of every day. Still, that is minuscule compared to God’s ability.

We have literally become a modern Tower of Babel.  We have abandoned restrictions on “intuitive jumps” or breakthrough “mistakes.”  We trust ourselves more than we trust God.

In a sense, mankind has once again told God, “I will,” rather than seeking His will.  We have become puffed up with our technological capabilities and relegated God to the abstract.  He WILL NOT STAY THERE!

I am not decrying technology but pleading for everyone to seek God with all of their hearts. He will bless obedience to Him and faith in Him, but trust in self will result in another Tower of Babel-like act.

God’s Promises are sure.  Prayer knows no limitations.   Heaven is eternal; we cannot create it on Earth through human ability.  Total reliance on God is our goal.  Technology has glitches, but God does not!

We can reach God at a rate faster than the fastest computer on earth.  So, call, and He will hear and answer.  He DOES NOT LIE and DOES NOT FAIL!

Today is Victory Day for you!  Instant access to God.  Rejoice!

STOPPING THE DEVIL’S PLAN IN OUR LIVES…

2 Corinthians 2:10-11 –” Anyone you forgive, I also forgive. And what I have forgiven—if there was anything to forgive—I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake, 11 in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.”

Paul spoke of the power of group or corporate prayer.  In Chapter 1, he detailed some of the afflictions he had endured and testified that God had delivered him through the prayers of many.  He spoke of not only the necessity but also the power of forgiveness.   In contrast, he reminded them of the peril and prison of unforgiveness.

In our text verse, he says that forgiveness prevented the devil from gaining an advantage over them.   There are two clear contrasts: Pure hearts are God’s field, but corrupt hearts are the devil’s.  Imagine being a sweet aroma to God.  That is what we are when we walk in purity and obedience to Him.

I do not want to become helter-skelter, but 2 Corinthians 3:15-17 shows an incredibly powerful and needed revelation.  Revelation or illumination comes after conversion, not before.  When we come to Christ, the veil is removed.  Conviction brings us to Christ.   As new creations, the veil is removed.   The lost do not need revelatory teaching.  They need the Cross.  The saved need tutoring, not the lost.

In 2 Corinthians 3:18, the process is detailed.  When we are saved, the veil is taken away, and we are able to see the Lord (as we see ourselves in a mirror).  As we “See” Him, enlightenment comes, and we move from glory to glory.   Our transformation begins, and we grow daily in Christ.

As we are enlightened, we manifest Him to the world.  We have new minds because our minds are unveiled, and we learn to think and talk differently.  We believe, and then we speak what we believe.  Our hearts overflow with Him and His Word.  We learn that what we see is not true reality; it is temporary.   What is unseen is true reality; it is eternal.  We walk by faith, not sight.

2 Corinthians 3:17 reveals that we are now New Creations!   We also realize we have newly unveiled hearts and minds as new creations.  Jesus in us enables us to see with spiritual eyes, hear with spiritual ears, and talk with spiritual mouths.  That means that we are praying for others, and others are praying for us in corporate or group prayer.  That brings deliverance and victory that we cannot achieve alone.

Here is the Revelation that liberates – Forgiveness prevents the devil from gaining an advantage.   It liberates us!   As we behold Him and are transformed from glory to glory, we become powerful vessels in God’s hands, and the love of God becomes our helmsman in life.

We need to become earnest in our commitment to and confident in the power of prayer.   We must immediately take steps to cleanse our hearts of unforgiveness, All Unforgiveness!  God is speaking to us, and as the veil is removed, we begin to understand how He is speaking.  It is more than verbal.

The bottom line is we have an often unused, powerful weapon called Prayer!  It is vital that we use it.  We have the promised tool to prevent the devil from gaining an advantage over us or our house: Forgiveness.   We have the Spirit’s presence to enlighten us; therefore, we should diligently seek enlightenment.   It will not be some supernatural deposit that requires no effort from us.  We open our hearts and consume the Word.

You are Victorious!  Jesus won that Victory for us!  We are Overcomers because we are In Jesus, and He is the Ultimate Overcomer! Today, I see victory, revelation, and enlightenment for you.  Do not miss it by making it mysterious.

May the God of Revelation and Power guide your footsteps and lead you into new levels of revelation and victory today!

CAN WE CHANGE THE PAST?

Isaiah 1:18 – “Come now, and lest us reason together, says Yahewh, though your sins are as scarlet, they will be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they will be like wool.”

Some days are so intriguing you can hardly wait to see the day unfold.  You anticipate the many treasures and revelatory nuggets hidden beneath the surface will be incredible.  You await the illumination of the Holy Spirit and rejoice in the reality that Life in Jesus is never dull.

Have you ever thought about your past and wished you could change it or alter it?  Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live some parts of your life over again, but with the knowledge you now possess?  We cannot go back in time, but we do have a God who is timeless, and He can Alter our Past.

Our text speaks to a powerful revelation and promise- what a powerful promise and revelation from the LORD.  Think about making sins that are scarlet and white as snow.  In the natural world, if you changed the fabric’s color, you would have to “re-dye” or “un-dye” it.

Some suggested that changing the past is the only way to alter sin.   But we cannot change the past, so we cannot alter sin, but God can!  In a measure, when God forgives us, He gives us a new past.  The chalkboard of our life is erased, and we have a new beginning (past).  That is incredible!

Yet, most testify that God has forgiven and whipped away their sin, but they still are tormented by them and allow the enemy to bring them to remembrance and intimidate them.  If it is erased, it no longer exists!  If it no longer exists, we need to forget the past and live in the present with our eyes on the future.

When God forgives, He is not pretending that the scarlet of our hearts is not really scarlet – He Changes It!  If God, who is timeless, can create time, He can reverse time.  God does not go into the past; He is there already.  He does not go into the future; He is there already.  He is past, present, and future.  He created time, and He will be what He is, He was, and what He was.  He is Eternal.

It is time for the children of God, the Church, to begin living with the concept that we have a new past, allowing us to have a victorious present and hope for the future!  We are Redeemed!  2 Corinthians 3:18 tells us that the veil is removed at salvation, and our understanding is now illuminable. As we focus on Jesus, we are transformed into the same image incrementally from glory to glory.

You are victorious in Jesus!  You are more than a conqueror! If the devil reminds you of your past, remind him of his future and remind him that Jesus washed away All Sin!  We are clean through Jesus!  Declare that Today is a Day of Victory!   Rejoice and become Who God Says You Are!

May the Victorious Lord lead you into new victories and levels of spiritual freedom today!

I’M ONLY HUMAN, BUT…

2 Corinthians 12:9 – “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.”

As I prayed, pondered, mused, and read a singular thought, I formed a theme of thought – justified by excuse.   What is that?

Many Christians, if not most, quote 2 Corinthians 12:9: “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” However, it is not quoted as a springboard to overcoming and transformation but as a justification or excuse for failures.

Well, many say, “I’m only human.”  No, you are not!  You are human, but you are not only human – but You Are also IN Christ and have the Spirit of God.   That means you are no longer only human.  You have the supernatural in you.  You are an heir of God as His offspring.  He is God; He is in you.  The life you now live, you live by the faith of Christ.  You have God’s life in you, and His life is not only human.  You can do all things through Christ; mere humans cannot.

Galatians 2:19 says we are dead to the Law (flesh) but alive in and through Jesus.  The Law could not produce life. Therefore, we have the New Birth.  Now, through Jesus, we are both mortal and immortal.

We are to be led by the Spirit, not flesh, religion, rules, or performance, but by faith.  So, no more excuses. We are commanded to put on Christ, walk in the Spirit, and bring every thought captive to Jesus.

We are commanded to put on the whole armor of God and pulldown strongholds.   We are commanded to resist the devil.  We are commanded to heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons, and set the captive free. We are commanded to have the mind of Christ.

Mere humans cannot do that.   Therefore, today would be a great day to begin being, professing, and expecting to be more than a conqueror.   You have the Promises, and you have the Power.   Guard your mind, heart, and tongue.   Be like Daniel 1:8 – Set in your heart to be what God says you are!  Expect your words to have power.   Expect your actions to be godly.  Expect the fulfillment of All the Promises in your life.

You are not merely human; you are a child of God.  You are not subject to the constraints of mortals. You are linked to the immortal and supernatural.   Live like you believe it, and it will be yours.

May God enable you to Be Who He Says You Are and Enjoy the Supernatural Life of Being His!

HOPING IN TIMES OF TROUBLE…

Jeremiah 29:11 –  For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.” NASB

Today, my heart is overflowing with Hope!

When we read about Israel’s bandage in Babylon in the writings of Jeremiah, the promise of God in the power of verse eleven skyrockets.  In exile and in a state of hopelessness, God reminded them to remember His promise and purpose.   In difficulty, they could Hope.

Jeremiah 31:21 told them to set up road marks and guideposts and set their hearts on the highway to victory. “Set up for yourself road marks, place for yourself guideposts; direct your mind to the highway, the way by which you went. Return, O virgin of Israel, return to these your cities.”

Jeremiah 31:31-34 brings us the Promise of the New Covenant. In Romans 5, Paul reminds us that this life is a life of faith.   Justification by faith brings peace.  Then, in 5:2, he says something amazing, yet not.

Through faith in Jesus, we obtain our Introduction by faith into God’s Grace.  This is the Introduction, not the completion.  Casual acquaintance that can lead to covenantal intimacy.  Introduction is the door to the fullness.   But we have to walk through the door.  It is not saved to sit, soak, and sour but to Grow into the full measure in Christ.

Then, he introduces the dastardly subject of afflictions, troubles, trials, and difficulties.  Afflictions bring about (not produce) but bring perseverance into the mix.   Perseverance is a walked-out experience.

  • Perseverance results in proven character.  Tried holiness, tested sanctification, and trustworthiness.
  • Proven characters result in the birth of hope in the heart.
  • Hope will not put us to shame.

That is an interesting statement.  Here, we find full assurance, no discredit, and vindication.  There is more, but all this is produced because of God’s Love poured out within our hearts.

Alan Jackson has a country song – “Ain’t Got Trouble Now.”  One line says – “Ain’t got troubles now.  Had ’em before, and I’ll have some more, but I Ain’t got troubles now.”  In Jesus, our trials become doorways to growth and victory.   We tend to fight, resist, grumble, complain, and woe is me.  But, if we understood that in Christ, there are times of trial and that through Him, they make us strong and whole, we would not just cede to them but use them to grow and glow.

We are people of Hope for whom God has plans for good.  We are people of perseverance, hope, and proven character who are never put to shame because we are people of The Name!

Our Covenant is one of eternal Hope.  So, rejoice that you are counted worthy to endure hardship for His Name.  Embrace the work of maturity through the trials and become a person of faith.  You are loved by God and entered the door to His immeasurable grace through faith.  You can overcome this because you are an overcomer.

May the Overcomer of Overcomers enable you to walk in victory today!

WITH SIGNS AND WONDERS FOLLOWING…

Mark 16:19-20 – So then, when the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. 20 And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them, and confirmed the word by the signs that followed. NASB

As I prayed, I heard the question, “Do you wonder or do wonders?”

I quickly realized that Mark 16 was to be my focus and target.  I realized that I have sometimes wondered when I see signs and wonders.  I wondered why all believers (me included) do not consistently walk in that reality.  Why do we not consistently see the manifestation of these wonders in our lives?

It simply says, “AND wonders WILL FOLLOW those who believe…” [Emphasis mine] The question in my heart was, “Do you truly believe?”  Before I could respond, the follow-up came, “Where is the manifestation in your life?”

I have learned that sometimes, no response or a delayed response is the best response.   Sometimes, just wait, and instruction and revelation will follow.  Just wait.

Let Us Consider Some Key Elements or Requirements:

  • Believe.

Believe what?  Believe that Jesus is the Christ and Savior.  Believe that God never lies.  Believe that these wonders are designed to accompany my words and deeds.  That is where we often fall short.

  • In Jesus’ Name.

It is not a magic formula but the key to unlock the door.  It is our pass key.

  • The Action.

Cast out demons.  Speak with or in tongues. Have authority over snakes (Aramaic idiom for enemies).  No harm from poison (that covers every danger).  Lay hands on the sick and heal them.  (Not just pray but bring the healer into the equation and heal). Those who heard Jesus say this expected it to become a reality in their lives all the time!

We talk about God showing up and great things happening.   They took God with them everywhere, all the time, and acted on the Word.   This was not a word to preachers but to everyone who believed.

Mark 16:20 – “And they went out and preached…”   A Basic Requirement is to go out where those things are present and then preach (testify). “Preached In EVERY PLACE…AND our Lord HELPED then and STRENGTHENED their words BY the miracles which they performed. “[Emphasis mine]

  • Who helped?  The Lord.
  • Who performed the miracles?  They did.

It was Christ in them!  It was the Word of God in them!  The Spirit in them compelled them!   The Believed.  The question for us is, “Do we truly believe?”

I find nowhere in Scripture where preaching and working miracles is relegated to a special group of ministers or super saints.   It is everyone who believes!   Therefore, this is your day to exercise your spiritual authority, flex your spiritual muscles, and Be and Do what He said.  Either God is a liar, or this is our heritage.   God is not a liar!

I encourage you to take baby steps if need be, but decide. Today, no more wondering about wonders, but have wonders follow you everywhere.

May the Lord be with you and transform you from Wondering to doing Wonders in the Name of Jesus!
